A Note From Our Founder
Hello, I’m Malia Hollowell, a National Board Certified Teacher, author of The Science of Reading in Action, and founder of The Science of Reading Formula. But before all that, I was a teacher who felt like I was failing.
My students were struggling to read, and I spent countless hours searching for answers that didn’t work.
But everything changed when I discovered the science of reading. I stopped guessing, leaned into research-backed strategies, and saw immediate results—my students started thriving, and I finally felt like the teacher I was meant to be.
Now, I’m on a mission to give other teachers that same confidence and success. The Science of Reading Formula is everything I wish I’d had back then: practical, research-backed, and designed to make teaching reading simple and effective.
